Raven1606688515 Posted June 21, 2018 Share Posted June 21, 2018 When I get my new computer. Do I have to deactivate the sim off my older computer before I download DCS World to the new computer? If so, how do I deactivate the sim off the old computer. Thanks for any help you can give me on this matter. Rudel_chw Posted June 21, 2018 Share Posted June 21, 2018 Hello, Yes, you need to deactivate all of your DLCs (aircrafts, campaigns, terrains, the WW2 units pack if you have it) prior to installing DCS on the new PC, that way you wont use a new activation on the new PC. Also, make a backup of the /saved games/dcs/ folder, so you can restore the HOTAS configs, Logbook and Campaigns status. You welcome .. but forgot to say that this is meant for those modules that use Starforce protection .. newer DLC, like the Harrier, F/A-18 and Persian Gulf dont need the deactivation as they use a protection linked to your account. David OC Posted June 22, 2018 Share Posted June 22, 2018 You can copy the whole Eagle Dynamics folder with maps and modules to an external drive, then copy this back to a new PC anywhere any drive. Then redo the links to desktop that are found in the BIN folder. Run a repair / update using the CMD prompt or use GUI updater and away you go with no massive downloads.
