[Guide] If you cannot rebind thrust axis mapping

I found some players cannot rebind their thrust axis mapping in Input window.

If you are familiar with text editor and lua file modification, please follow the attached screenshot for a quick fix

1. navigate to saved game/dcs.xxx/config/input/jf-17/joystick/

2. open the device_xxxx.diff.lua using text editor (non windows one)

3. locate the AxisDiff section and then the section with name "Thrust" (red)

4. delete the whole subsection for name "Thrust" (blue)

5. same operation for wheel brake

* If you are not familiar with the diff.lua modification, you may need to delete the diff.lua, and rebind all your device mapping.

I always back up my hotas LUAs whenever I make a binding change so I just deleted the LUA as you suggested and then loaded in my backup LUA for my throttle and all is well. I'm posting this solution here to back up what you have said about deleting the LUA file and remapping. If you have a backup file then its very fast, no remapping just import your backup LUA file and you are good to go.

Alternative workaround

After a couple of attempts at rebinding the normal way, I just right-clicked on the JOY-RZ that had been bound after my last unsuccessful attempt and selected 'Reset combo to default', tried again to map it and it worked.

This method did it for me.
