Slmod for DCS 1.5/2.0

Good morning

 

I Just installed the update for this and for some reason its not working with the dedicated servers I have up. I can't reg as admin. This was working perfectly before going over to dedicated servers. Is there something I'm missing?

 

I am having the same issue. I have tried doing a clean install of Slmod and still nothing. It is showing in the log that is it loading, but when i try to do any of the commands nothing is working. Can someone help me please.

Would need DCS.log to see if there are errors related to slmod. Try basic commands like -help or -stats (if enabled) to see if it responds.

Hi guys,

 

Fresh install on fresh dedicated openbeta server here, and when I reg and do:

 

-admin load

 

I'm not getting the list, but instead a message that it's written the list to a path in \saved games\ on the server.

 

What to check?

ETA - Disregard - found the issue. The old directory was a link and had been removed. Recreated it, and all is 100% fine.

HI Grimes, getting this message spammed a lot of my server log for unknwon reason

 

 

2019-09-18 20:23:10.726 INFO LuaNET: SLMOD ERROR: SlmodStats - unit type TF-51D for unit WW2 TF-51D 1_1 not in database!

 

 

WW2 TF-51D 1_1 = name of group (with single unit) in the mission being played

Does it happen on any mission with the TF-51? Is it placed in the editor or spawned via scripting?

Think I will need the mission file and a log to see if I can replicate it. I threw some TF-51s into my test mission and didn't encounter the issue.

sometimes when checking the dcs.log I notice some players have no name ....

could this be related to that ?

 

 

I know is default player name of player is used on the server ..... this shows as blank name on the server list of player ?

Slmod doesn't print usernames to the log very often. Would need to have a sample log to get an idea of what you might be talking about.

I am having the same problem on 2 servers with the -reg command, It appears to work, Command entered, Asks for password, Password entered, It notifys that you are now admin. However nothing works. Check the admin lua and there is no entry, It works after I manually enter the information into the lua file. It had been working on an older server but not these 2 new ones.

The developer version is in endless loop with norender server, new installation:

Logs are always helpful in diagnosing issues.

The fix for -reg command is in development branch, there are other stuff to fix before I merge it. Did you add the ???? or is that really the file structure?

Restart the server, check if there are spam in logs, stop the server, and then attach the DCS.log. Should have a reasonable file size.

Works here for me. What I found worked was adding the script and mods folder in each server folder. Hope this helps.

Also I needed to add the SRS.lua inside the created config folder as well to get the auto connect feature to work again.

my enviroment is following.

single instance.

savedata folder: "C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta"

dcs folder: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta"

launch option: --server --norender --webgui

no error massage in dcs.log.

 

Could anyone help me?

If you check your saved games folders you will find a folder named “ebgui”. That is the name of your server instance. Remove the -web GUI on your startup line and the server will use your main folders.

There isn't the folder named "webgui". and with only --server option, condition is same.

I don't know which version you are running. If the help command works or you see the message of the day when you loaded into an aircraft then slmod is installed and working. Sounds like you are just having issues with the admin functionality.

 

You can always manually add users as admins. Either by editing the ServerAdmins.lua file manually or by connecting to the server and using "-admin add <playerName>" in the web interface.

Hi, I seem to be having trouble loading some mission correctly.

 

I am running the DCS World 2.5 Open Beta Dedicated Server on a separate machine (our server). For the past month we have been running Caucasus Pendulum: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306070/ perfectly.

 

After adding Slmod to our server the mission doesn't load correctly. You can tell straight away as most map markers are not shown on map (indicating capture zones and side objectives) also most AI units do not spawn.

 

So far the missions I have tested are:

- Caucasus Pendulum v1.8.1 - Didn't load correctly

- Caucasus Pendulum v1.6 - Didn't load correctly

- Dynamic Training Ground (Golfo) AB - Gulf v1.3 - Didn't load correctly no AI or missions.

- two of my own missions using MOOSE FW - worked just fine

 

I have attempted to load the mission from the admin menu, to restart the server from the admin menu, restart the server from the WEB GUI, and reload the original file onto the server again. All to no avail.

 

Any help would be appreciated as the mission is one of our favorites.

 

 

EDIT: potentially fixed by switching from master to the dev branch of Slmod.

EDIT: Confirmed on server that switching to the dev build for slmod seemed to fix the issue.
