hrnet940
Yes it is. A bit of both. I can remove my overclocking and see what happens. It is an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super XC Ultra from EVGA. I will let you know what happens after I bring it back to default settings. Thanks, Wayne Wayne Wilson AKA: hrnet940 Alienware Aurora R3, i7 3820 3.5GHz(4.2GHz setting) processor, EVGA Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB Graphics, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD. hrnet940
I removed my overclocking that MSI Afterburner was changing and it hasn't crashed yet. I programmed my controls and went for an Aerial Refueling mission and it was stable. It seemed like every 8 to 10 seconds I was getting a brief freeze and the FPS was showing 100's and down to single digits, or very low double digits, when it froze for the split second. I am using the preset for High and will play with these to see what happens. Awfully strange to see it drop that much and that quick. I will keep you posted on what further testing reveals. I was in the F/A-18C in one of the preloaded missions for the hornet. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted March 1, 2020 ED Team Share Posted March 1, 2020 Good to hear you have been able to play for longer, overclocks can be sensitive with DCS Forum rules - DCS Crashing? hrnet940
It was working for quite a while, but guess the last patch or two didn't like it. hrnet940
I need to say 'Thank You' to everyone that figured out my problem and helped me to get back flying my beloved DCS again. I have been getting in a fair amount of Aerial Refueling recently and notice that my FPS is up in the 100 - 125 range, but drops to single digits for a very short burst. This is NOT great when trying to connect to the tanker. Any further suggestions on what this could be? I have my setting on High and keep Water and Heat Blur at Low setting. Other than this small thing I am flying and enjoying it. Thanks Again, Wayne Wayne Wilson AKA: hrnet940 Alienware Aurora R3, i7 3820 3.5GHz(4.2GHz setting) processor, EVGA Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB Graphics, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD.
