Because I know that it doesn't need to be on my list.
True, as it is being worked on right now. But I was suggesting that maybe (maaaybe) we will have cargo that can be loaded as you suggested as a bonus. After all, RAZBAM is making some carrier shenanigans.

F9F Panther. Maybe a Museum Relic #2 Campaign: Story driven - F9F Panthers flying off the coast of 'North Korea' (Sochi/Caucasus coast map); aircraft would be F9F Panthers carrier based for takeoff/launch and landing after a combat mission on a carrier; F-86F would provide air cover against the MiG 15s. Takeoff and land the F9F on the carrier with the canopy open! :-)

[Credit here for Apache600 for making one of the best mission campaigns for new pilots with Museum Relic Campaign. Salute!]

BelSimTek could create the F9F Panther (with folding wings-see photo below); use current Caucasus Map; period helicopters, etc.

Think of the movie: The Bridges at Toko-Ri with the American actor William Holden.

Its appeal to me as a new DCS World pilot (currently flying Museum Relic with F-86F) would be the F9F would have basic electronics and navigation similar to the F-86F and MiG 15bis -- not too complex for a new pilot. And, a chance to takeoff and land on an aircraft in one of the most basic jet fighter bombers of the 1950s.

Final mission in the F9F Museum Relic Campaign could be that you-as Squadron Commander, lead the whole squadron from carrier launch, attack targets/dogfights, and then land back at the aircraft carrier.

Believe there would be a large market for an intro story driven carrier operations aircraft and campaign....and it wouldn't take a 300 page manual to learn....

would rather see the F9F8 cougar. swept winged version of the panther ( capable of arming Aim9bs and used as a fighter bomber. This aircraft kinda overlooked because it just missed out on Korea. even then Cougar still is inferior in climb rate and top speed to the sabre.

Also would love to see the Higher performance F-86H, If a Mig17F is ever made.

Yes! Thud Ridge in the F-105; napalm with the F-100 (Caucasus map.)

F-8 Crusader ?!? The flight modeling for landing on the carrier would be interesting - wing is elevated for landing.

I think the U.S. Navy use to use the F-8 to simulate the MiG 21? To dogfight against F-4 Phantom jets... not sure about my research.

Number ONE : A-4 Phantom

then the Rest :-)

A6

A7

Alpha Jet

may be a Skyraider ? :-)

CH 47 Gunship heli

Cobra attack heli

You might get one of those last two. Polychop Simulations has a poll on Facebook right now, with a list of 7 helicopters and asking for which one they should build. The CH47 and AH1W are on that list.

A little unusual, but hey...

Whatever you are smoking............ Can I have some please.... :pilotfly:

Now the curvature of the earth is modelled in DCS..... how about the Jag... you know you want to.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I wanted to bring up the F-8U Crusader again because I think this would be a good match up for the MiG-21. The U.S. Navy did use it for something called dissimilar air combat training (DACT)...using the F-8U to represent the MiG-21. This would give the MiG-21 a good 1 v 1 dogfight on the servers, campaigns, etc.

F-8U vs MiG-21...

Also, I can't imagine what it would be like to also land this jet with the wing raised up for landing it on an aircraft carrier.

Could use Caucasus maps, etc.

LOVE this jet!

actually Id hope we get the F-100 Super sabre ( F-100D specifically)

Razbams doing the Mig19, USSR's first supersonic fighter series.

Its only natural that the team working on that should do the Hun next as that was Americas First Supersonic aircraft, and also a quite iconic Fighter/Bomber in the Vietnam war. It flew the most missions of any US aircraft in SEA and more sorties than the P51 mustang of ww2.

other notable users of aircraft (via export) were France ( they had nearly as many F100's as they did SUper Mysteres), Denmark and Turkey
