Oezem
Title is the subject. Was trying to purchase the Flaming Cliffs digital download from the lock-on website today but got this message when trying to log in. I registered a few days ago. Obviously I can't fill in any of my details when warned this way. http://lockon.co.uk/ Has it expired? Should I wait?
ED Team Groove Posted February 24, 2009 ED Team Share Posted February 24, 2009 You are safe. Its a self-signed security "stamp". That's why all browsers trigger an alarm. Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en

Guest Kazinar
Any cert which triggers an alert in your browser should be treated suspiciously. Whoever looks after the site needs to either remove the cert or pay to get it registered. Self signed certs are not secure because they are not authorised by a third party. Why people do this outside of a corporate environment (where the publisher cert can be deployed) is beyond me. It's cheap, lazy and teaches very bad habits.
