I'd' like to zoom in on the "macro" map and check out the finer detail... but it just shifts to the "zoomed-in" version of the map. I searched around the forums using different keywords but didn't see an answer - seems like something folks would want to do! No. That's just how maps are built. You zoom in to get the details so the LOD changes to let you see more. What point it would be to have an almost empty part zoomed in or the blurry one? Even real maps are done for different scales to not clutter the whole picture. You can make a screenshot and zoom in to that if you want.
