In-game Flight Peformance: MiG-29S (2.5.4)

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I've done some flight performance testing for MiG-29S in DCS (2.5.4) and decided to share the results.

In this round I am presenting charts that describe:

  • sustained turn performance (turn rates & turn radii)
  • instantaneous turn performance (turn rates)

1a. Sustained Turn Performance - turn rate vs indicated air speed:

1b. Sustained Turn Performance - turn radius vs indicated airspeed:

2: Instantaneous Turn Performance - turn rate vs indicated airspeed

*** notes:

sustained turn rate - aircraft heading change, in degrees per second, with no energy loss/gain (constant airspeed and altitude) in a turn

More results to come in the future.

thank you so much for doing this.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Great post man! Do you plan on doing the charts without the center-line fuel tank and in full AB?

Yes, more payloads and different engine outputs are planned in the future :pilotfly:

What is series 1 and series 2?

These are just sets of data used. Basically measurements from 2 different tests (flights).
