only downside to this model is, its the same pilot as the p-51

pilots had white helmets that era, easy enough to alter I guess.

The pilot model has outside of the aircraft 3D model.

Yes like the real aircraft with the canopy open... to close it you duck your head.

Yep. has been mentioned... :)

You are correct, and this actually was the case. The training films for the aircraft taught the pilot to bow his head as the canopy closed because of this. Also later German-flown Canadair Sabres with larger ejection seats had a modified rail that moved the canopy up as well as back.

noticed some nice new effects in screens

shadows casting on grass now, looks superb

think this is the newer dx engine.

Pretty sure it's EDGE using new shaders, the reflections of polished metal surfaces are completely different than how they look currently (stronger, more detailed), along with the reflections on glass.

Check out the smoke from chimneys in pic #7 looks very different to me if it is EDGE it is looking good, wonder if the reflections on the skin are a true representation of what it is supposed to reflect. It looks as though it does:D

Also, the atmospheric scattering is quite a big giveaway that it is indeed the EDGE engine. Looks absolutely fantastic.
