[REPORTED]Chaparral missile has strange tracking against targets

It seems to me that the chaparral has bugged missile tracking. When launched at a target coming head on, the missile will not take an intercept course. Instead, the missile will go behind the target, then make a very high G turn to get back on course. This does not seem to be right.

Below are two tracks - one of the Chaparral and one of the Stinger for comparison's sake. Notice the difference. Also....the chaparral's missile seems to phase right through the MiG-21, which is something else to take note of.

Did some test with CA module and all SHORAD IR systems (US/RU). Fighter crossing Chaparral WEZ at 5000ft and speed 0,8M.

Result was VERY POOR performance by Chaparral mainly due to its BUG in guidance (mainly from rear hemisphere).

So answer is, no there has been probably Non changes since your report, sadly 🤨

Edit: I think that this toppic shall be moved rather into DCS World 2.5>Bugs and Problems>Weapon Issues
