Lovely. Just received my version 2 a couple of days ago... Sigh.

And this has added the only thing lacking that I was looking for (the analogue stick that I have to continue using my old G13 for).

Ryzen 7800X3D | Gigabyte X670 Aorus Elite AX MB | 32GB 6000Mhz DDR5 | RTX 3080 GPU | Sound BlasterX AE-5 | Windows 11 Pro x64 | Virpil T-50 Throttle | T50 CM2 Grip + WarBRD | VKB T-rudder MK IV | Asus PG279Q 1440p | Valve Index VR | Samsung 980 Pro as system disk and DCS on separate Intel 665P NVME SSD

I am thinking some smart person could design a 3d printed dedent that could be attached to the upper part of the throttle base ?

Ouch, removing the detents completely is a weird decision.

Pity, looks very good otherwise. But to me, detents are a must.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil T-50CM, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

I don't get it. Rushed the initial design and shipped it without a mini stick. Now when they have a chance to make the throttle what it should have always been, they drop an essential feature in the detents? Design a new/better system if the old one was prone to excessive wear! (Pity for those of us who have the old version, knowing it has a design flaw found so soon.)

They experienced the same with the original Mongoos T-50 gimbal system with the cams.

Now they have a new version that addressed that issue.

Maybe I should wait a bit and see if they put the detents back in at some point.

There were some design flaws and wear down because of it, as I understand it.

Detent costs $8-10 on 3D print site. There is no reason not to include it as it allows more variety of gameplays (center detent for space sims, varying degree of Nozzle stops for the Harrier, etc.).

PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti.

Joystick grips: TM (Warthog, F/A-18C), Realsimulator (F-16SGRH, F-18CGRH), VKB (Kosmosima LH, MCG, MCG Pro), VPC MongoosT50-CM2

Throttles: TMW, Winwing Super Taurus, Logitech Throttle Quadrant, Realsimulator Throttle (soon)

Just curious. Does the warthog have a detent? I really don’t know if it does or doesn’t.

Yes it does, and it's easily customizable. However, it has different throttle construction where the levers can also move up, not only forward/backward.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil T-50CM, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

Unbelievable that there is now three updated versions in so young unit.

And now throttle looks very cramped so you can't get your fingers there.

Looks great to me and I will be having one. Loss of detente? Yup - would be nice to have, but deal breaker? No chance.

That would be like a racing driver refusing a McLaren GTR because it doesn't have a sunroof.

I'll programme in the switch points to afterburner and reverse thrust - I managed that well enough with my G940, so that the last couple of mm put it into AB - you can arrange it very easily with the software so that 100% pushes a virtual button (AB). That will do for me.

From the videos I've seen (by Ralfidude, for example) the detentes as implemented were nothing to write home about, anyway.

The more of you that won't have one, the better the chances of me gettinghold of one in the first batch of stock - so hate away, my friends.... :D

I think I'm actually ok with what I got.

But if they could consider selling these grips as upgrades to the old, then maybe.

I can see how the detents are a big loss, but I honestly prefer to run smooth myself.

I feel like a testing lab rat for Virpil. I keep buying stuff and then everything gets upgraded!:). I’m kidding. I’m glad we have Virpil in the first place. Back when I started simming we had crap.

Well, we could say that about many things - especially VR, for example. Point is, we know we are basically paying testers (though we do get a lot of bang for our buck), but we are still happy to shell out, so we know what we are getting into.
