Development work and testing continues on CA and we still hope to release by the end of June. If not, we were simply unable to resolve one or more critical bugs... like stability. We are doing our best to release the pre-purchase as soon as we can. KiwiPete
>>>http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1488932&postcount=2 Thanks Peter...you know, sharing quality screenshots like that isn't helping....:smilewink: The user community seem pretty excited about CA (or for that matter anything DCS.) Also thanks to you (and of course many others) in sharing your wealth of knowledge. It's helped me go from a novice gamer to a novice simmer in a matter of weeks. The fun of building a cockpit in my computer room matched by the beauty that is DCS World (or A-10 or Black Shark etc...) makes for an excited and engaged member of this awesome on line community. Cheers to you - have a virtual beer on me! But yeah - the eye candy looks great, and knowing the quality of DCS - this will be an outstanding development. 1 Science doesn't have all the answers...but at least it's asking the right questions! PeterP
Thanks Peter P +1 for sharing! I'm really looking forward to CA Hay...Can you say weather or not it will be possible to make miz's where Force on Force and tanks only? Are you questioning me ?! ...I'm only a normal forum member like you and not involved in any part of the development/testing . I also gather my info only from the updates and I'm not able to answer your questions! :) I also can only speculate/make educated guesses/ or a false assumption... just like any other. ;) But I would answer your question with YES! - if this will be not the possibility to do 1on1 tank battles- there will simply no use that two CA users will meet in multi-player. - as multi-player will be the backbone of CA. BTW: This CA reminds me a lot about my excitement as I played the original "Dune" two decades ago on my 286... (what got later "command and conquer") Maybe CA at it current state is like "Dune" but will evolve to "command and conquer" over the time :) But this time I don't have to follow the rules of the game ... now I can make my very own rules... I hope you get my point. Edited June 23, 2012 by PeterP

PeterP
I may agree that the dust-trails in DCS are not as in reality... But think about the fact that they are right now a good compromise to real ones. And in most cases the DCS dust-trails are much more forgiving as they would be in RL. Dust-trails are sometimes spread 2 miles behind you when off-road in a dry area . I still don't get what the weird smoke/white trail behind every vehicle is supposed to be. It looks like every vehicle is steam powered. And the dust-trails are the most of the time grey/white because the particles that can stay long enough in the air to build them are so small that each of this particles reflect only a specific spectrum/band of light over wider distance. But they sum up to reflect the whole spectrum of light so a dust-trail is almost every time Gray. (Red+Green+Blue = White/Gray) Did you ever asked yourself why clouds are white? look it up - the same principle/law is working behind it. cichlidfan
It may be just my impression, since it's been a while since I buzzed the ground in the A-10, but it seems like the 'dust trails' are more persistant than they used to be. Not saying it is any more or less correct than before just that they seem to hang around longer than in pre-World A-10C. Mohamengina
yea that has to be fixed, sure it will , wet weather there should be no dust trails. It doesn't even look like dust though.....just smoke or steam that looks like a bubble attached to the back of the vehicles. Also it happens no matter where the vehicles go; be it snow/roads etc... Silver_Dragon
Not sure, but I think the effect of dust is old, possibly lomac or FC1, probably in the future upgrade to a much-improved ejecto, like smoke from the chimneys of factories.
