Perhaps one day. But the F/A-18 will fill the same role, plus carrier ops, so I guess I can live without the F-16 once it is released. King_Hrothgar Posted June 22, 2015 Share Posted June 22, 2015 I don't think it was actually announced, it just happened to appear as an "F-5E WIP" icon at the bottom of the main menu screen and also in the special tab in the options menu during the live stream. It strongly suggests someone is seriously working on the F-5E, but I don't think we have true confirmation just yet. It is #1 on my western fighter wishlist though, so I'm happy. Cause an F-5E is basically the same as a T-38C, except it has guns, missiles and bombs in addition to aerobatic smoke. That would be dream come true for me. It would go nice with the F-18C.
