MACCHI 205 VELTRO FOR DCS

Oh wait, you're using Blender! How are you exporting into DCS? There was an unofficial add-on, but I couldn't get it to work.

Maybe I should get back to using Blender. Haven't touched it in a long time. I never get around to it though, because I spend my spare time with DCS, not Blender. :/

Looking good! Will there be animations for the shocks?

When you can, would be able to do video tutorials for creating models like this for DCS? I have had Blender for two years, but it's set relatively idle because I don't really have a goal for 3D modeling. But tutorials would definitely get me back into it, and help others as well. Wonderful work!

Hello THE_ITALIAN_ACE,

how do you convert the Blender model to EDM format?

Do you import it into 3DS Max and then export it to EDM format?

Do you create the textures and animations in Blender or later in 3DS Max?

While I'm not ITALIAN_ACE, I can tell you that there is an unofficial add-on for Blender on these forums thst allows the import and export of EDM files. Not sure about LODS though, can't remember...

Search the forums! It's a pretty old and at this point INACTIVE thread, but the add-on still works, last I checked.

I suppose you can't tell us what is modded? :3 I really want to make my own WWII ground units.

There was a point that I made an awesome looking starter trolley (cable was wrapped and all) and then learned I couldn't export. That's what I got for not double checking to make sure my stuff works.

Have you been able to contact the creator of the add-on for permission to distribute your modded version? If not possible, could you tell us what to do to modify it to work? <--That's something for a different thread, but still...
