Nice initiative once again.

If I may suggest one thing Flanker - based on experiance from previous Hornet Cup - would be nice to see "solution" for unexpected lag during the fight or after the merge causing:

1. Positional lose,

2. Loosing tally,

3. Crashing.

If both side confirm lag causing above-mentioned they should reset the fight. (?)

If the lag (after the merge) is harmless/temporarly both side can decide if they want to continue or reset. (?)

The problem with lag is that it doesn't always appear the same way to everybody on the server, you may for example experiment it but not your opponent, and the referee/host may or may not see it either...

So if both sides confirm a significant performance-altering lag and agree to reset, so be it. There just must be a mutual agreement for the reset to happen without the referee stepping in.

The referee may also decide to knock it off and reset if he sees a good amount of lag that may be detrimental to either contestant.

So to sum it up: either both players agree or the admin steps in, if none, fight must go on.

Unfortunately, lag will always be a threat when it comes to online competition...we just try to minimize the pings of the players as much as possible but there will never be a guarantee so to speak. ..one of the reason I stress contestants to reset their routers, reboot, shut down all unnecessary apps that may use bandwidth...etc.

Lurker but I did hear about this issue on the MP server I am on

*Print screening is forbidden

Also what does 750IAS mean and why would you want to dump fuel? I guess for an advantage but does it really help that much?

For the 'bubble' would you just set your waypoint to the carrier and then make a circle off of that, not to cross?

Yes, still a noob and trying to figure out stuff. I always ask silly noob questions, sorry in advance

Mashing the printscreen key causes lag, hence the ban.

750 indicated air speed.

Dumping fuel makes your aircraft lighter and increases its speed and turning capability at the expense of air time (tradeoff).

You can check the mission file, its available for download and has been built similar to what you described.

You are welcome.

Hello Flanky :book:

Just one innocent question :helpsmilie:

Firstable congratulation for this great initiative:thumbup:

To be more official, entering the server for the game, what is authorized, one referee (the hoster or more) , other players out of the competition to sustain opponent for exemple ? spectators ?

Could you clarify please

Salute :pilotfly:

Hello Thrust,

Only 2 contestants and myself (referee) will be on the hosting server for any given match. Nobody else is allowed.

Same applies for Discord, only 2 players and admin can chat on fight channel.

Spectators can watch the live stream and chat on YT.

As an organizer, I'm not affiliated with any squadron or any team whatsoever so there won't be any bias. Bracket seeding will be based on the SA Rankings and if not on past performances during SA-sanctioned DCS events, nothing is random. I have been doing this since 2012 so I have enough data to properly seed players.

Please go through the rules again and let me know if you feel something has not been covered. The clearer the better.

Hello Flanky

It was only this little thing to clarify in my own head because of my experience so far, anyway for me now all things and rules are perfect .

Looking forward to participate, best skill here with the most great pilots i've never seen and surely game software with FM harder to own more and more each day .

I'm rusty but always faithful :pilotfly:

Congratulations for this organisation

Cheers
