Last english version patch is 1.0.2 It's confusing to have this thread still stickied.

Agreed!!! I just bought the boxed version and am confused why there is no Sticky for 1.02 patch? Isn't this the patch I need after a DVD Install?

Thanks

Somebody wrote "in the latest patch" recently, so I went to check if there's 1.0.3 I might have missed or something. And I saw 1.0.1 sticky.

Please take the topic off. It shouldn't be hard.

>Is the patch worth it? I don't really play online. If I insatall this patch Iloose

all my custom missions and my LUA settings for my monitor. I can live

without the new trimmer. Again, is it worth it?

I just patched to 1.02 and for me, it's a different sim now. The flight model

has been refined, as well as the overall cpu/gpu performance. I'm running

an i7-860 @ 4.13 ghz and a 2 gig 5850 and the difference between 1.01

and 1.02 is stunning, performance and fidelity wise. HUGE improvement in

control...I can now fly NOE at 5' backwards and maintain complete control.

Whatever they did on the inside of the sim ROCKS on my box...oh yeah...

...4 gig DDR3 1600, 23" 19x10 max detail smooth as friggin glass. TrackIR.

Wow.

I must say that this sim now, without a doubt, has the finest flight model

of any sim I've ever had the pleasure to crash in.

To think that I used to be amazed at SWOTL...and blown away with the

original panning view system of the classic Mac sim HELLCATS OVER THE PACIFIC.

Props Wags...and we used to think that the Falcon 3 HiFi *250kts and above*

flight model was the bomb...hehe.

Well done men...and thank you so very much.

Possibly never.

That's harsh. And not very fair to the ED team who have already shown a willingness to merge products where possible. It's not that you are wrong. It's "POSSIBLE" that the next module is DCS:Jeep. But the lack of a unassailable commitment by ED for compatability doesn't give us the right to fill in the blank with a negative.

Chill. Matt Wagner just recently said (VE3D interview) they will be working on compatibility patch, and all DCS releases will be compatible with each other and even FC2 owners may expect DCS compatibility patch. Riboyster stop spreading BS.

Flamming Cliffs 2.0 aircrafts being flown against Warthog or the Shark...

I don't think that would be fair since DCS aircraft are modeled in higher detail thus making them harder to fly while in FC2.0 things are a lot easier to fly.

Well considering; I would pay another $9.99 to upgrade the system to be compatible. With all FC2, DCS BLack Shark

A-10C have so much more features, better weapon integration and flight dynamics I think FC2 A2G aircrafts would be left in the mud if not flown by an ace. FC2 is a really really easy platform to introduse new players. I bet it is needed to keep future interest in flight sims. To also have integration with the DCS multiplayer will get the new players interested in the DCS series of this SIM. So I belive more sales of FC2 will eventually bring more players to the DCS series.

I have one proposition for ED - Because the name on Steam of Warthog is now a fully named Digital Combat Simulator: A-10C Warthog, can you somehow rename the Black Shark on steam from DCS: Black Shark to Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark, too? Perhaps with next DCS: A-10C compatibility patch or something alike. Yeah, I'm little of a perfectionist and it somehow bothers me that the DCS games are not together in Steam.

Helicopters don't fly, they just subdue the air.
