Losing 30+ FPS with tgp in 2.5

Gday, since finally getting 2.5 to work which is great by the way I'm down about 30 fps when using the tgp. Never noticed it with 1.58 or 2.2 versions. Specs in sig and I've played with the in game settings. Even on low settings I'm down the same fps. Anyone else getting this, or is it always been like that and I'm not paying attention?

All missions have been instant action free flight in all 3 maps, same result.

I've plugged in all those settings and I got a couple extra frames as you would expect but the image quality dropped a fair bit with those changes. I'm still going from 115 frames on caucusas instant action mission to 80fps with the tgp on and down to 60fps with the mav image displayed!

A busy mission and this numbers half which is not ideal. No other aircraft have this issue, all remain above 100fps in their instant action missions.

I have MSAA off and DS on and default med settings. Usually run on high but using medium for testing. All drivers updated and GPU usage is 100% on standard clock freq.

Drop antriscopic filtering lower 8x, 4x, 2x, off , test again, test, check etc. The image is getting better. Set it for you to feel right. That was the case with me.

I've tried AF off and on max, makes little difference in performance compared to the 40fps I lose with tgp and 50fps I lose with mav on the mfcd. Tried

Default low and 256 cockpit settings the frame rates are obviously higher but the drop is about the same turning on tgp or mav. Any other module is perfectly fine, staying at the higher frame rate irrespective of what sensors and displays are on.

No mods and I've done a repair again. No different

HI,

I have an I5 6600K @ 4.4ghz and a 1060 6GB - so not too big a difference from your spec. I run the cockpit dials at 512 and use the "war horse" HD cockpit. DS on and MSAA X2, max preload and trees, medium shadows with the textures and sea land and sea on high.

I suffered this drop in fps which impacted on the vsync so I dropped my res down to 1680x1050. DS on and MSAA X2. No more stutters due to vsync and it still looks ok.

MSI Tomahawk X570 Mobo, Ryzen 5600X undervolted on Artic Freezer E34 Cooler, RTX3080 FE, 32GB (2x16GB Dual Ranked) GSkil 3600 CL16 Trident Neo RAM, 2X 4th Gen M2 SSDs, Corsair RM850x PSU, Lancool 215 Case.

Gear: MFG Crosswinds, Warthog Throttle, Virpil T50CM gen 1 stick, TIR5, Cougar MFD (OOA), D-link H7/B powered USB 2.0 Hub all strapped to a butchered Wheel stand pro, Cushion to bang head on, wall to scream at.

It all related to the trees. Turn them right down and it runs smoother nut you won't have the graphics you used to from previous versions
