And I didn't say it is going to be easy, but easier than with K4 that I have no real advantage over

Also, flying that fast is going to make the plane hard to aim at slower moving targets. And I can imagine many players won't have thepatience to do that. And a slow 262 is a dead 262 :3

Where did i use the word easy?

So you are ony able to shot down a 262 if he messes up? :music_whistling:

Yes! But it is still a higher chance than shooting down a K4:P I mean K4 has to realy mess up to be shot down.

But realy though, with altitude that we fight at and distances that bases are from (maps like quake over the bay) the 262 is not going to be as much of a problem as one might think. Especially having no G suit to sustain hard turns at high speed.

Also, loosing to 262 is understandable. It is a new type of plane that changed air war, even by only inspiring the future generation of planes, but it was proven that "jets" can fight well and are deadly. Thus I am not going to be mad.

I'll buy it, of course, but for the love of god somebody has GOT to create a B-17, B-24, or B-25. Even if they just slap a skin on one of the existing AI modern transports and it doesn't shoot back. *Something.*

It can only be one thing - the one and only, but i will not utter its name here. :) Man, I wish I would get to play DCS more. Soon.

I don't remember; was a flyable Me 262 confirmed, or was that the "next step" in the original plan (before RRG fell over)?

It can be seen next to the other modules in the profile backer section.

I'd just like to see any progress in DCS WW2. We haven't seen any concrete evidence of that in a while.

Annoying for those of us that paid upfront.

Define "a while"?

We've had renders of the Spitfire in the newsletters earlier on in the year, and the initial beta 1.5 accidently included the (rather lovely looking) new Spitfire model as an AI plane. Progress is certainly being made.

"A Me 262 raid against USAAF B-17s came on March 18, 1945 when 37 262s went up against a formation of 1,221 bombers and 632 escort fighters. "

To my mind this is the coolest thing that ever happened EVER!

Those JV44 pilots were very experienced combat pilots flying the quad cannon turbo ... Out numbered but not outgunned or out flown.

Here are some gun cams of Me262 getting shot down... I especially like Lt G.R. Flowers at 7:41 shooting at a high speed jet with 90' deflection and then watching it excellerate away . Moments later footage of the parachuting pilot confirms the kill.

Those 37 Me262s came from III./JG7. They didn't all attack together. After the attack ended III./JG7 was considered virtually annihilated (crashing due to bad weather).

JV44 only got its first Me262s on March 14 1945 and it was only 3 a/c.

Nope,Have you seen anything that it IS? Not even the Typical "Soon"tm
Mate this thread IS something. It was started by Sithspawn with this statement,

There was people who already paid for this bird in kickstarter, what makes you think ED won't fulfil with that deal? ED is complying with the original RRG planeset.
