D4n
After having locked bandit in VS or HMD mode (EOS), unable to switch on the radar. Switching on radar working fine though when no lock. See video, trackfile attached aswell. I would guess it's a bug, not a 29 limitation. cannotEnableRadarWhileLock.trk DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013 DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. Ironhand
Not a bug. That's how the system works in the real life aircraft, too. When EOS is primary, radar is the slaved unit and is pointing where the EOS is pointing at all times. In that situation, if you select a radar guided missile, the radar starts transmitting and locks the target as well. You don't have to "turn it on". If the radar is unable to lock the target, in the real word aircraft you have to break the EOS lock, select the radar complex as primary, and relock the target. BlackPixxel
To force radar on from an IRST lock you just press the radar button once and then the EO button. If the conditions for a radar lock are met the EO will switch of completeley and the lock will be by the radar. If the radar is unable to lock the target, it will stay an EO lock. Turning radar on and exceeding the IRST gimbal limit but not the radar gimbal limit will also cause the lock to switch to radar.
