Weidlich
Hi! Just had a game crash on Buddyspike Server - Persian Gulf map. I was just sitting on the runway with my F18, refuelling and rearming was complete. The crash happened when I changed my JSOWs from PP to TOO mode (never had this crash before doing this). The DCS folder is whitelisted in my Windows Defender AV. Weidlich
It might have been bad timing with pp too switch. I do it around 100 times per day and never had a crash due to this (after the crash another 3hrs without crash). Is there an actual event behind the errorcode? http://www.sysprofile.de/id17271

Weidlich
again access violation (a different one). This time I was doing basically nothing. Sitting in the F18 in the climb and waiting to arrive at target. The log attached is with the full debug you were asking for. Searching Google for the nvwgf2umx.dll, it only relates crashes to the GeForce Experience. If it matters, yes it was running (running it for years without issues so far). This guy has the same crash as me today (same nvwgf2umx.dll error): https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=275700 We both have the new 446.14 installed which was released 2 days ago, he has a 1080, I have a 1080TI. So either the new driver causes the crash or the new DCS update causes a conflict.dcs.log-20200530-014231.zip Edited May 30, 2020 by Weidlich http://www.sysprofile.de/id17271

XAiracobraX
i seem to have same issue. It happened with older Nvidia drivers as well as the newest. Im not overclocking anything. One of the times it crashed the computer blue screened with a message saying "memory management" and the whole computer restarted. Every other time the game has just crashed to desktop Intel i7-10700k, 32GB DDR4, GTX 1080 8GB, 1TB NVMe SSD, LG32GK850G 2560x1440 Monitor, Noctua u12a cooler
XAiracobraX
Curious, Weidlich when it crashed for you did you have the fps counter on and/or the internal lights off? When it was crashing for me I had turned been turning off all the internal lights at mission start and had the fps counter showing. I have flown a few missions yesterday and today successfully with leaving the lights alone (on) and keeping the fps counter off. I didn't change anything else. XAiracobraX
Never mind its not related to fps counter nor lights, it crashes regardless if they are on or off. Tippis
I'm getting something very similar, but it is completely reproducible down to the second. I haven't been able to experiment further, but given the crash log it might be related to a weather change tick in the dynamic weather that's running… 2020-05-31 21:36:25.816 INFO EDCORE: try to write dump information 2020-05-31 21:36:25.821 INFO EDCORE: # -------------- 20200531-213626 -------------- 2020-05-31 21:36:25.824 INFO EDCORE: DCS/2.5.6.49798 (x86_64; Windows NT 10.0.18363) 2020-05-31 21:36:25.827 INFO EDCORE: D:\Games\DCS World\bin\Weather.dll 2020-05-31 21:36:25.830 INFO EDCORE: # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 449B09C4 00:00000000 2020-05-31 21:36:25.834 INFO EDCORE: SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: '.;D:\Games\DCS World;D:\Games\DCS World\bin;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32;SRV*C:\websymbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols;', symOptions: 530,[redacted] 2020-05-31 21:36:25.837 INFO EDCORE: OS-Version: 10.0.18363 () 0x100-0x1 2020-05-31 21:36:26.299 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000000209C4 (Weather): Weather::IAtmosphere::getTurbulenceInLayer + 0x164 2020-05-31 21:36:26.299 INFO EDCORE: 0x000000000001E37E (Weather): Weather::DynamicAtmosphere::getAtmoWind_w + 0x29E 2020-05-31 21:36:26.299 INFO EDCORE: 0x000000000000BDEC (AIFM): EagleFM::AIFM::AIAerodyneFM::doSimulate + 0x9C 2020-05-31 21:36:26.299 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000011B6D (AIFM): EagleFM::AIFM::AIHelicopterFM::doSimulate + 0x99D 2020-05-31 21:36:26.299 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000004B5A40 (DCS): woLA::loadNewInputLayout + 0xC24D0 2020-05-31 21:36:26.300 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000004448B0 (DCS): woLA::loadNewInputLayout + 0x51340 2020-05-31 21:36:26.300 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000003AE4 (World): wSimTrace::CommandsTraceDiscreteIsOn + 0x504 2020-05-31 21:36:26.300 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000003F8D (World): wSimCalendar::DoActionsUntil + 0x1FD 2020-05-31 21:36:26.300 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000006FFD2F (DCS): woLA::loadNewInputLayout + 0x30C7BF 2020-05-31 21:36:26.300 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000710C13 (DCS): dDispatcher::InitDatabase + 0xDC43 2020-05-31 21:36:26.300 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000006E7154 (DCS): woLA::loadNewInputLayout + 0x2F3BE4 2020-05-31 21:36:26.301 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000006E7519 (DCS): woLA::loadNewInputLayout + 0x2F3FA9 2020-05-31 21:36:26.301 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000001597A21 (DCS): AmdPowerXpressRequestHighPerformance + 0x9E8A1D 2020-05-31 21:36:26.301 INFO EDCORE: 0x00000000008C9F2E (DCS): uiAsyncNet::onGameStop + 0x682FE 2020-05-31 21:36:26.301 INFO EDCORE: 0x0000000000017BD4 (KERNEL32): BaseThreadInitThunk + 0x14 2020-05-31 21:36:26.301 INFO EDCORE: 0x000000000006CE51 (ntdll): RtlUserThreadStart + 0x21 2020-05-31 21:36:26.526 INFO EDCORE: Minidump created. dcs.log-20200531-213626.zip ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. Tippis
Just an update on mine: the error went away immediately once I switched to static weather, so the log was certainly pointing in the right direction. With dynamic weather turned on, after 5 minutes to the second, the game would crash, presumably because something in the weather sim would tick over — a new run at the dynamics, perhaps? — and the game would seize up and die. 1 ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves.
