Authentic Gunsight! | P-51D Mustang

This is an edit of what I believe the sight would appear like. While I couldn't find images of the real K-14's sight specifically, I have used a number of other reflector sight references from the WWII era to get the best effect I can out of this.

The fixed sight has a more of a glowing appearance, and an increase of red, particularly in the bottom section of the sight. I have not touched the gyro sight, because the diamonds are cut sideways out of a straight line. I can not add a convincing glow effect to them without it looking very wrong, so I let it be. This mod only affects the fixed sight.

P.S. I am working on the sight for the Spitfire. If you enjoy this mod, keep an eye out for my edit of the Spitfire's Mark II coming in the not-so-distant future.c17748fc3db5ed9927044b9f9f8ed48d.jpg3b35f354a79a3fa6a545d3b53aeb842c.jpg6bccbef70f8fa0739c802478c03a85dd.jpg

Looks great, I can't wait to give it a try. I always thought the gunsights were lacking this glow effect and should be improved. Is it JSGME compatible?
It is

I recalled it being a bit different and did some digging. The above link gives a detailed description of the site, below is one of the pictures. I recall the pipper looking like this is Jane's WWII Fighters and IL2 as well, so there must be something to it.

Be really neat if a subject matter expert could weigh in here!

I tried it. For some reason I can see where the glow ends, rather sharply:
Wow! I must apologize! This is my very early-on edit. My guess, I wasn't very organized with the names of my images (my desktop is currently littered with various TGAs, BMPs and PNGs for the Spitfire's Mark II) and accidently dropped in an old draft. I'm very sorry!

I can update it when I get home, in about six hours. I know right where the proper images are, and should be an easy drop (will double check first, of course).

I will come back here after I update the mod with the proper images.

Mod has been updated to include the correct textures! Enjoy! I may continue to update it if I feel I can improve upon it. It is currently at 1.0, so if I do change it in the future, you will know.
