lasvideo
Ive been flying DCS for a year and am very familiar with the placement of the Save Games folder (Users/Tom/ Saved Games /DCS Open Beta) in 1.5. I decided to remove all the various versions of DCS (to clean house) and redownload / install just 2.5. I also saved and renamed the OLD Saved Games folder on my desktop (just in case) and deleted it from where it usually is (Users/Tom/ Saved Games /DCS Open Beta) in the interest of making a clean install. Several hours later I boot up 2.5 and it runs just fine. But when I go to find (Users/Tom/ Saved Games /DCS Open Beta) there is NO Saved Games folder there. And yet it seems to remember my HOTAS config and Kneeboards. Does DCS 2.5 store its Saved Games folder in a different place then 1.5 (FYI I did run clean and repair for good measure). Im so confused...... but happy its running ;) Edited February 25, 2018 by lasvideo Win 10 I7 6700K @ 4.0 GHZ. 16 gig memory GTX 1070 SSD
wngover
After installing 2.5 No Saved Games folder where it should be Same issue here.... {user}/Saved Games/ DCS 2.5 didn't create a new DCS 2.5 folder on clean install. Looks like it update the DCS.openbeta folder. I can work around... but it should have created a new DCS 2.5 (or something ) folder on 'clean install'.
