Hi,
excuse my ignorance, but the HOT MIC (near VHF - not the "hot mic talk"!) what is it for? ![]() |

I believe it is one of the 3 ways that you can communicate with the ground crew.
1st way - switching the "selector switch dial" to the INT position 2nd way - pressing and holding the "call" button 3rd way - using the "hot mic" talk button in conjunction with the adjacent "HM switch". The "hot mic" button allows you to talk to the ground crew while the "HM switch" allows you to listen to the ground crew which is why it has a volume control. In the real C-101, the first 2 methods require you to press a 'push to talk' switch in order to communicate while the 3rd does not because the mic is always on or "hot". But you can't really simulate this so, in the sim, you have to do a 'push to talk' for the 3rd method as well. Hope I got this mostly right. ![]() |
