A question about connectivity if I may. Apologies if this was answered else ware but I didn't see it.

I presume both the Libra and Taurus are USB HID devices and will simply be detected as such by Windows/Flight Sims.

Does the Taurus add on panel have it's own USB connection? Or is it integrated into the Taurus by some means? If that were the case the total connections required would be three USB.

Thanks for the info.

And then the keybinding... SO MUCH BINDING...

It was discussed earlier. I asked if they will provide LUA so that (for at lease the Hornet module), it'll work out of the box.

So I'm hoping that is the case. We'll see in a month or two.

Hi all,

1. We put a CAN BUS in every device include the panel, so user can use only one USB port when HID model. But windows only allowed 128 KEY in one keyboard, and almost all SIM-FLIGHT use keyboard binding. 128 key is not enough for ops/combat ready/take off or even more panel, so we need 3 usb for each panels.

2.About binding, we have cloud-save function for key binding, you can share your setup with other pilots. But for the terrible Chinese internet satisfy, we are not sure the cloud will online when first deliver. We will try the best!

3.We have different binding model, 2key or 2DCS FUNCION(lua).

Best.

Hi all,

This sounds like we might have the option to just use them as HID devices, rather than having to rely on intermediate software. Is that right? I hope it is ...

Clear as mud description of functionality. If these are going to be delivered within 2 months, how they function should be available for disclosure.

1. Do I have to use proprietary software to assign buttons?

2. Can I program each button/switch function within DCS?

3. Do I have to use the cloud based interface?

4. Will I have full functionality without using the cloud interface?

Agreed. The answer wasn't very clear. So they will be HID devices? And the total number of USB connections will be 3?

1. Libra, 2. Taurus and 3. Flight panel ?

Or are you saying the panel alone requires 3 USB and the total would then be 5? The first option seems more likely base on DX HID game controllers. But absolute clarity would be helpful. Thanks!

Dear all, sorry for not clear before,

Our solution for this system is one device with one USB cable. It will be 1 usb for joystick base, 1 for throttle and 1 for ops panel. we do have solution to contact all devices together. But we will have a lot different panel for this system in future , it will runout the limit of the key for one USB port. So there is a final solution for each device with usb.

About the software:

1. The SIMAPP PRO is our software for the HOTAS system. It’s like the TARGET software from Thrustmaster. You can use the devices with or without this software. Player can binding the keys through this software for any fly-simulator games.

2.But if you want to program some special function , you must use SIMAPP PRO.

3.Players need to calibrate HOTAS with this software.

4.SIMAPP PRO can binding the function to buttons, for example, you can choice "power up" to BOTTON1.

5.This software can choose to save settings locally or upload to cloud.

  • 2 weeks later...

Are there any updates coming/planned?

I have $1300 sitting here that I was planning to use to order a set, but I would really like to see at least a detailed throttle video and preferably a 3rd party review before submitting that sort of cash.

WINWING F/A-18C HOTAS 2019.7.3 RELEASE

That throttle looks bigger than I expected, in a positive way that is. Should we expect any new throttle videos since the product is supposed to be shipped in just a few weeks?

I’m still hesitant to pull the trigger on the product though, based on what we have seen so far.

Good luck with UPS shipping. Had a recent damaged shipment from Spain and they refused to take responsibility for the damaged package. For people in the USA, you will not get live support from UPS. Phone calls get routed to prerecorded messages telling you to press buttons for tracking, delivery, status update, etc. Email support link takes you to general FAQ web page with preselected questions/answers and no way to input your personal messages and basically would tell you to use their app should you want to modify your shipping or delivery. This almost drove me nuts dealing with UPS since there was no way for me to contact them directly. Fortunately, the seller (Realsimulator) went above and beyond, and everything was taken care of from their end.

Bless you

They did encounter an unhappy experience with UPS before they started the preorder event.

Their website offers UPS,DHL and Fedex for buyers to choose from.
