Guys, sorry for my english, but what mean fighter pilot slang :

That's new to me. I think it usually is used in the context of a turn and burn fight, where you engage in a turning fight and burn your energy. Opposite of boom and zoom, where you dive down on your enemy and zoom up again, to conserve your energy.

That definition of "The worm has turned was pretty poor. What it means, is that someone who has never stood up for themselves before finally reaches his/her limits and fights back - usually with catastrophic results for their would be tormentor. It's usually at that point that their tormentor turns and burns!
