Joker_1
The VR optimization guide instructs you need to delete those folder contents as well as your FXO and metashaders2 folder in saved games after installing the mod. i9-9900K Processor (@ 5GHz) RTX 2080 TI - 32 GDDR6 TM cougar/MFG Crosswind-Valve Index :pilotfly:
imacken
No, that guide tells you delete the files from C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Caucasus\misc\metacache\dcs as an example. Nothing to do with the Bazar folder. Anyway, as we discussed further up, that is one of the things not quite right about that video. You don't need to do that any more as per Kegetys. Joker_1
Yes I misspoke but those are the ones I deleted and haven’t repopulated. I guess my question is how do I get the files back and why hasn’t affected the game so far? I’ve managed to load I to caucus, Nevada, and Persian gulf with no issues Edited June 19, 2020 by Joker_1 i9-9900K Processor (@ 5GHz) RTX 2080 TI - 32 GDDR6 TM cougar/MFG Crosswind-Valve Index :pilotfly:
imacken
Yes I misspoke but those are the ones I deleted and haven’t repopulated. They don't repopulate. The new shaders are put in Saved Games fxo and metashaders2 folders. Anyway, as I said, that video is wrong, you don't need to delete the terrain files any more. Just follow the readme and you are good to go. I would try to lower it (for better performance) but it takes soo long to start. Maybe one of u guys knows the masksize for hp reverb. As for the mod..I downloaded the one from page 1, I think that s the one u say it is the best, right?
speed-of-heat
Yes , though it has the most graphical reductions as well. The main one is essentially forcing medium water on. If you are ok with that and not being able to use multiplayer servers, then that is the fastest SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO

Pride37
and that has what to do with this mod? ... they are very pretty though Nothing I must admit, sorry for off-topic... Nevertheles, I have a question on the shadders mod, I searched the multiple pages of this topic but couldn't find my answer: the called "clear water" mod is different from the base mod? How do I download this specific one? And finally is the water with the mod visually identical to it is without the mod? Thanks in advance. Edit: ah, sorry, I just saw it was in your signature... And so, what about "eye candy"? Original DCS water is very pretty, I just want to be sure to keep it!
