But 50726 is latest, they have fixed HUD in patch notes.

Yes but they rolled out a hot fix supposedly today. So I believe that is why that is shown in the patch notes. But I will have to check it out when I get home later.

Sadly, I see no FPS improvements from this mod. Only delays to re-build the shaders. I use F18 BVR 8v8 Quick Mission as a benchmark. Mod or no mod, my FPS still drops to 15 when things get heated... (((

Seeing as my RAM usage is usually between 14-18GB and peaks at 24GB, I'd say you need more RAM. Mod is not gonna help you with FPS drop from heavy missions.

ED Recommended system requirement also says:

RAM: 16 GB (32 GB for heavy missions)

that means you NEED to turn down some settings; MSAA is the biggest FPS killer in game. If you use steamvr, get something called FPSVR as it will help you immensely with fine tuning your settings.

I don't use MSAA nor steamvr. I am already at the minimum. My memory usage is never over 12-13 Gb. I play DCS since 2004. Some 2-3 years ago this mod made huge difference for me in VR, but not anymore. I think the bottleneck is at Directx 11 object handling pipeline, no shaders/textures/graffic settings can help that. I think it is at worst with lots of smoke around.

Edit: memory in 8v8 F18 quick mission

then there is definitely something wrong with your setup. Hate to say it, but I run pretty high settings and with MSAA at 2 without nary a stutter with a Reverb. Looking at your specs, I think your bottleneck is your processor...its what, 10 years old now?

I have to agree with Hammer. My processor is a wee bit better than yours and old but at the same time it's kept me on the fence when it comes to upgrading. You might be straddling the line as well.

I know, it's from 2013 but still has a decent single-core performance. Hoping to skip one more gen...

It's only using 12-13GB because your max is 16GB. I have i7-4970K like Reaper and I have no problem keeping at 45fps in VR.

Only thing not meeting the recommended system spec for VR in your case is RAM.

And you did say the frame rate issue happens when things get heated.

The native version of the mod. Is the fastest, between 2 and 3ms faster GPU frame times than the native version of the game, clear water costs you about.5 to 1ms depending on the circumstances. The icpass version is the weakest gaining you very little except the mask and some perf around grass... a lot depends on hardware , settings and circumstances but @imacken did a post on this, I can’t find it but it was well researched.

Hey guys, had this issue pop up after the most recent open beta update, anyone else having this issue, I can't resolve this for the life of me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Which version of the mod are using? Did you reapply the current version of the mod after updating?

No which version of the 2.5.6 mod are you using? You need to be on 50321 for the current version of dcs on openbeta

I am a bit confused now. June 12th you wrote that 50321 is the current version of OB but 50726 was out on June 10th, hotfix 50793 on June 11th.

Do the 50321 shaders work with 50793?

Quick question to...well whoever:

So just to be safe I removed speed-of-heat's modded kegetys shaders, cleared fxo, etc. Then updated to 50726. Just to experiment, I used Kegetys version when I reinstalled mods. So something I noticed immediately: If you look at my monitor while in VR mode, the mask/circled perimeter is gone. Did Kegetys remove that on this latest version of the shaders? I know I read in the notes that ED added the MSAA mask size option under the VR tab. But I haven't noticed any difference in performance or visuals regardless of where I set that to. I have gone from .25-1.0 and it all looks the same.

That being said, everything is running smoothly aside from night flying still being almost impossible. But just making sure the "circle" is not supposed to be there anymore.

As far as I know the circle is meant to be the mask all I do with my version is remove stuff from kegetys mod.
