oscar19681 Posted December 17, 2018 Share Posted December 17, 2018 Yes, V5. So far, I only had anti-ship missions. The first mission was to destroy 3 cargo ships in a harbour. V5 disabled the anti ship mission. Make sure you delete all files from the previous version and then install V5. Last time in installed v5 over v5 i also still had ant-ship mission and the Agm65g loadouts. Which basicly means its still version 4. But i noticed i never ever get any clouds or anything. Its like the weather is allways the same. Surely even the Gulf seems Some clouds from time to time? Then open the ongoing mission with the editor and set the weather to dynamic and then start the mission. Thats the Nice thing about how the DCE is Set up. Because the missions are pre generated it allows you to tailor the mission to your own wishes untill the next mission is generated. I play the dynamic campaign with 4 people but after I switch to the ongoing mission file the campaign doesn't load past an attack on the SA-3 101 site. Tomsk Posted January 1, 2019 Share Posted January 1, 2019 (edited) A little feedback on the Hornet over Persian Gulf: First of all love the campaign overall, really nice to get to fly the hornet on a carrier in the gulf map, totally awesome. The only complaint I have is that Iran doesn't seem to put up much of a fight, especially in terms of aircraft. Pretty much every strike mission goes totally unopposed, even those that are directly over the Iranian airbases. I've checked the 'oob_air.lua' in the 'Status' folder, and they've hardly lost any aircraft, so they have tonnes left, they just don't seem to be launching any of them. I remember it was very different in the Desert Mirage 86 campaign (which I also loved), as there you were being constantly scrambled on. If there is some setting I can change somewhere to make the AI schedule more intercepts and CAPs and such like, I'm happy to change it myself. PB0_CEF Posted January 1, 2019 Author Share Posted January 1, 2019 My main problem with PG theater is the lack of usable Iranian airbases :( I think that it's really difficult to have enough planes in squadrons to allow DCE to find enough planes to prepare lot of Intercept missions. It's possible too that US CAP are too efficient and kill all interceptors ... I will try to look at this problem as soon as possible. You can try to look at db_loadouts.lua file and change "sortie rate" for all iranian planes in intercept loadouts... Hi same Problem here only Cap and Escort Mission! first three or four missions were normal! Missions with the F 117 usually do not work either The F117 turns in the middle of the flight plan around and fly home and the F16 never hit ground targets Sorry for my very bad english! Before you could tell your wing to “Engage Mission Target and Rejoin” and they would normally then deploy their ordnance onto the area specified by their waypoints. Sadly now upon receiving this instruction they just fly off somewhere else completely random and do nothing useful. No I don't think so :) There are not any big changes in DCE files yet. Look at the oob_air.lua file in your Status folder (all files in it are relatives to the campaign you are flying) to see if FA-18C squadron missions are Strike, CAP, Sweep, Escort = true. If not change it there. Antiship strikes are not working with AI so I disabled it for FA-18C. Then you can use Skipmission.bat and see if you have strikes missions (I have some :thumbup: ). Ai sometimes attack targets with Mav or Bombs ... wait IP waypoint to order them to attack target and rejoin (or RTB) It seems more difficult for them to attack by night (can't see target ? ) In Mission planner I change Target waypoint altitude to 0 ft (it adapts to real altitude) may be it helps AI to find target ? I made a Hornet over Caucasus - CVN campaign with a second CVN for Tomcats to be ready for its coming :thumbup: (They only have CAP missions now because AI Tomcats are unable to take off from CV :( ).
