Gerbilskij
With today's OB patch we finally have a search and track radar for the SS-N-2 Silkworm missile. I did some testing (battery of 1 radar and 4 launchers) and it seems that the radar can only track a single missile at a time, as only one missile is fired even in presence of multiple targets. Is it supposed to work this way or there is still some WIP with the Silkworm radar track settings?
Gerbilskij
Anyone else tried to experiment with the Silkworm in the meantime?
norbot
Works very well. Place a Mys-M1 radar-unit in a group of silkworms and they're lauched as soon as an enemy ship comes close. In my mission it was something like 50 nm. Probably depends on the elevation of the terrain where the radar is positioned. Rockrend
I’m not sure if this is the way the real setup works but I experience the same as you. If however I place 2 radar units with multiple launchers in the same group then 2 missiles will fire almost simultaneously. Hope this helps you.
