Thanks for the update!

Mig-21 was always one of my favorite modules, so I'm glad you're continuing to work on it.

As for the CE2, I bought it just out of curiosity, being the first biplane in DCS, and I'm glad I did, it's great little plane and a joy to fly!

Keep up the good work!

The external textures will be reduced to half resolution and I'll have to download textures from external site for overall resolution of the MiG currently in DCS?

i7 7700k, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1080, 500 GB NVMe m.2 SSD, Trackir 3 Pro, Gunfighter Mk I w/MCG; Mod. TM Cougar throttle and Mod. CH Pro Pedals w/Pro Micro + MMjoy2, Nostromo n52

Cool.

Fixing ASP is not even being considered.

I don't remember writing anything like that in the update ;)

That depends on internal tests of the split 4K textures. 8K to 4 x 4K does not reduce quality. The 8K textures are formed originally by merging 4K textures.

If the FPS is still not great, the 4K will be reduced to 2K, and 4Ks will be put up for download.

Thanks a lot for working on improving the MiG-21, it was the first aircraft I purchased from Leatherneck and I've used it so much that I blush when I remember how little I paid vs the many hours of entertainment it has given me back.

That's why I purchased the CE2, even if I wasnt sure if aerobatics were really mi thing :) ... just wanted to help support you guys, and was my way of saying thank you, for all the free updates my MiG-21 has received over these three years.

My main interest is cold war jets, but most likely will also get your Corsair ... I expect it to be as nice a surprise as the CE2 has been these last few days :D

Cheers!

Eduardo

Excellent news!! Thank you for the update...the Corsair is looking hella good!!!

Btw will we get the SPO-10 update for the MIG-21?

All the people keep asking for capabilities to be modelled.... I want the limitations to be modelled.... limitations make for realistic simulation.

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a bit you realize the pig likes it.

It's too bad that texture resolution for the MiG couldn't be adjusted in game settings instead of having to download them.

MipMaps could be removed, actually reducing file size incredibly smaller....but when the view is zoomed out, they look too crisp and sharp.

So the textures are the frame issue?

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

So a win/win for VR?

Thank you for remembering the MiG

Neither do I remember reading anything about ASP in the update.

Not trying to be rude just asking, what is actually wrong with the ASP at this point? I know it had a bunch of issues in the past but what are its current problems?
