I would like to know why the mirror shader works in the model viewer. but in game this shader IS broken. nearing 2 years now in that broken state with no attention what so ever from any developer............... it once worked very well you know.

Welcome back Ali

hi Rudel, thanks. lol "me again" !

Our Patriots jets are black and the reflections work fine. I remember a time when they didn't. Don't know how but redoing the specs somehow fixed it.

And hi blaze, what might you mean there Blaze? I mean what can i do or try. maybe dxt file type possibly? any suggestions are welcomed, please throw them at me haha.

lets not forget this bug exists for ED`s products too. not that I would expect them to fix it.(they said no more updates at one time)

The ModelViewer has a Fixed Environment??, which is why the reflection of the ground, tree's etc show up clear.?

the F-100 Looks good when the camera is angled to see the sunlight, the sky reflects very well, etc.

when flying level, the bottom part of the jet does appear like the P_51D, just not as bad.

IMHO, the Fade from Reflective Blue (from the sky), to Dull White feels like a Shadow Shader issue, as the bottom part of the plane with sun directly overhead should be more dark/greyed as it would be shadowed with the sun overhead.

Basically from what i've seen of the P-51 and some other Aircraft, Upwards facing Polygons have a nice blue reflection of the Sky, Side facing and downwards facing polygons have the dull white fade.

Almost like the TERRAIN Reflection is missing from the In Game Engine. Which kinda seems like the answer, as I dont recall seeing Trees or ground on the polished metal when I taxi in the -51, -100 or other aircraft that have metallic liveries./

good explanation. regards the lack of terrain texture there is something else going on with it alongside this it is not just that. Also this opaque white effect also occurs within some environmental scenes over waterscape and around the horizon, it is a major fundamental flaw as far as I see it. :(

I don't know how to respond to that skatezilla, besides already knowing that water is part of the terrain which forms the overall scenery lol. Its not like its directly related. ie what I can see on land is what I see in the reflection, that I could understand completely.

For regular people, aside from trying to figure out future things, dunno. I usually just match mine to release versions. If people are third party developers, it makes sense to match to the development builds since that is what you are developing for.

I just used 85179 with no issues.....

However, I just started noticing that our external model might be exporting becoming shorter, or my separate rail launcher is becoming longer.

The following pics show how the mounts line p perfectly. But they do not in game. Notice the rear mount?

I tried xForms, and ensured my units are set up in metric; not really sure what's going on. Any thoughts?

is it connected or linked to a Point Helper?

The launcher is actually. After my last post, DGambo told me about scaled Connector and Dummies. Beczl resized the model a long time ago, and must have resized them too.

What a pain replacing them all. This issue should be added to the first post. :book:

good to you, so please send us the missing FMBase.dll and Weather.dll files

85179 MV needs those files

earlier missing renderer.dll is already in the bin/main folder but there are more missing dll files - what's happening there with these newer modelviewers ?

I don't see those files in my MV install folder

this is the problem, ok i know you are a 3rd party and maybe you know some trick, so can you tell us where do you install the MV, to your latest non public test sim folder ? - in this case MV starts to use those dll files i think - or to the seperate/standalone MV folder ? hopefully that"s not a secret info :helpsmilie:

by the way, Transport.dll is missing/needed too

looks MV wants to use many missing dll files from the sim bin folder - those missing dll files were not installed with the MV :(

so we always got something what is nothing - nothing useful because MV is not running :(
