NRG-Vampire
I check "Static effects" but no can activate UH-1H Exhaust Fire / Smoke or Mil Mi-8 APU fire? I think need wait to a future versión. i guess those effects assigned for new connector names only for models of BST, but we will see later - not works with current UH-1H model (AB-212.edm) Skate, i will ask HJ how should works exaust smoke for aircraft with single engine, but as he stated earlier connectors and its names are key elements :dunno: and a wish to ED: please make white contrail effects too for INVERS connectors - same as exaust smoke effects

SkateZilla
Nice, what is the helper name to use? AFTERBURN_001, AFTERBURN_002, Along with INVERS_001, INVERS_002 Not sure if INVERS_001 and INVERS_002 are needed or if it uses the AB Points I had to have both connectors though to get the exhaust to show without crashing the EDMViewer. if I Only Had 1 Connector, it crashed EDMViewer regardless of Connector Name. I just cloned-unique copied the original and renamed. So both 001 and 002 points are in the same coordinates. -Rudel-
Thanks, Very interesting. I don't have any connectors for the smoke and it shows up in the beta, though light-greyish. You may be right about the AB point being used. But my model does crash EDMViewer as well. https://magnitude-3.com/ https://www.facebook.com/magnitude3llc https://www.youtube.com/@magnitude_3 i9 13900K, 128GB RAM, RTX 4090, Win10Pro, 2 x 2TB SSD i9 10980XE, 128GB RAM, RTX 3090Ti, Win10 Pro, 2 x 256GB SSD, 4 x 512GB SSD RAID 0, 6 x 4TB HDD RAID 6, 9361-8i RAID Controller i7 4960X, 64GB RAM, GTX Titan X Black, Win10 Pro, 512GB PCIe SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD
SkateZilla
So you'd need AFTERBURN_001, then Clone/Copy and name AFTERBURN_002. So it's Prolly an EDM Viewer Bug, (Crashes if it only has one connector), but works fine in the actual beta build. -Rudel-
My fault. I had 2 x Dust_Wheel_003s  I saw an old thread by Blaze; he listed some very common connectors, and in parentheses a few showed they can be hard coded in, instead of using connectors. This explains why I see exhaust trails and contrails without connectors. I think model viewer will crash because it doesn't detect the hard coded items yet. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1599297&postcount=1 https://magnitude-3.com/ https://www.facebook.com/magnitude3llc https://www.youtube.com/@magnitude_3 i9 13900K, 128GB RAM, RTX 4090, Win10Pro, 2 x 2TB SSD i9 10980XE, 128GB RAM, RTX 3090Ti, Win10 Pro, 2 x 256GB SSD, 4 x 512GB SSD RAID 0, 6 x 4TB HDD RAID 6, 9361-8i RAID Controller i7 4960X, 64GB RAM, GTX Titan X Black, Win10 Pro, 512GB PCIe SSD, 2 x 256GB SSD

luckybob9
Part 8 of the first post has two possible resolutions. A link for C++ 2010 and a second for C++ 2012. luckybob9
Are you absolutely sure you grabbed the right one? Going off memory, that link brings you to a download page that asked you to select the files you want to download and they do not have rational file names. If you have a 64 bit system make sure you check the one that probably has x64 or just 64 in the file name. A 32 bit system will be the one that might have 32 or x86 in the file name. I'm on the road and can't check exactly right now. What are you system specs anyways? I have never seen a case of the c++ 2012 not solving that error.. SkateZilla
Ok, For Rotating Beacon Lights, Am I Supposed to be using the Visibility Arg? I tried to do that it I still only get Off/On and no Fade On and Fade off Animations, if the Animations work at all..... Also Tried to Use a Combo of On/Off w/ Scale to make it appear to fade on and off, and that results in a Strobe like animation, ( it doesnt fade. Just Jumps from one extreme to another. ) Edited November 7, 2013 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
Blaze
For fading light textures you use Arg based float. Check the sample max file about self illumination that installs with the edm plugins. Should be in the Max directory, help, edm. I think. The textures it uses use float, check it out in the slate material editor. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. I was trying to use Fades for Afterburner Effects a while back, didnt work, And when I tried to fade for the Beacon Lights a few days ago, I got the same result, So I Wasnt sure if I was using the correct animation type/parameter.
