The saving problem?

I found a workaround, and edited the cfg files directly to get the zoom IPD to stay as I set it.

No, the problem with contrails.

As I can not reproduce your problem, and also it seems that other people did not encounter it, I'm without response.

 

Which file did you modify ?

 

Maybe you should try to map another key than alt + F12...

You were using the files as provided with the last version, without mixing with older version or modifying them ?

Normally, only the second line (reload_config) should be modified, but I did not test. So by security I setup the two lines.

 

Replace VK_F12 by the key you want (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd375731(v=vs.85).aspx), you can remove the ALT by replacing it by no_alt (case does not matter)

 

 

 

And the values should be stored in d3dx_user.ini when ALT+F12 works. for example here is mine

Hey Lefuneste. I am on VR now and decided to give your mod another try. It is quite strange, it seems like the label masking feature is quite fiddly on my setup. It was working the first time I tried. However after a while (not sure what I changed sorry!) it's not. I made sure I uninstalled the other shader mod (the performance one), yours, removed the shaders and reinstalled yours but it is still not working. I'm running out of ideas now :)

Anyways I really like your NVG implementation! That is what made me install it again :)

Also there are some bright white artifacts around vapor especially visible in the viper when turning hard. It is I think similar to something I was noticing in the Huey just much more visible. I just confirmed the issue is not there if I remove the mod

it seems like the label masking feature is quite fiddly on my setup.

Can you post a track and your graphic settings ? Anyway, the mod is not compliant with Kegetys mod. As it change a lot of shaders reference, so they are no more replaced by 3dmigoto. So if you have a corrupted installation you may have trouble.

Hey, thanks for the mod, it helps me a lot with my Pimax and using the binocular view. I have however noticed an issue that is occurring recently. I first noticed it after upgrading to version 3.0, but it could well have been a change in DCS too that triggered it.

 

The issue is that ANY missile exhaust loses part of its texture and 3d effect:

Thanks for the track, it will help a lot. I'll have a look, but I have to rework the compute shader fix, because it breaks too much things. I'm sure that it will be the same problem.

By the way, the mod is broken for the last beta, label masking and sharpen are not working anymore.

Fixed with the last 3.2 version available in first post. It also fixed some problems with the last beta.

No new version for the moment, I will wait a new iteration for the beta.

But I made a video to explain the message "copy/paste" feature. I did not have too much feedback on it, I wonder if it has been understood.

That's however a very nice feature, I used it a lot in the "smersh hunt" A10C mission, in which you received a lot of target coordinates without the capacity to note anything in VR...

For the moment nothing should work in 2.5.6, too much problems, they will update soon and it will broke the mod.

I'll wait the next version to update the mod. You can try, but it is likely that it won't work.

New version 4.0b (for last beta only) is added in first post as joined file (see bottom of post). As there is now a native support for Pimax zoom and as there are few added value to have mod zoom vs spyglass zoom, I disengaged the zoom features of the mod for the beta version. It remains label masking, copy/paste of message, sharpen, NVG scaling, cursor&nkeepad night mode, cockpit color brightness.

If some really need the zoom features, I may add them again, but when the version will be more stabilized.

Well, we have, "check six" solved another way, we also have spyglass by DCS, but your zoom is still very nice feature.

I would appreciate it. Hope it counts. ;)

good news: removing zoom change the mod contain from ~1000 shaders (with about 30 to fix manually) to 10 shaders. So I am able to introduce again comptability with Kegetys shader mod. Moreover, I integrate some parameters (HMD and MSAA mask size) in 3dmigoto mod, so they can be tuned without re compling shaders.

I still have some thing to tune to have only one version, but it will works.

I win only ~8 fps on 40 with this mod, but that's better than nothing.
