Uploat the new Iakrus version 1.4.5.3g with new Display functions...

 

 

Ikarus displays have up to 3 values for colors, 1. value for the text color, 2. value for the background color and 3. value for the frame color.

Color values can be specified in hexadecimal RGB and ARGB, where A stands for alphacanal and indicates whether the color can be transparent.

 

 

Example: Hornet Ikarus Prifile, UFC displays

I found 3 bugs going through this:

1) HUD DAY/night Switch is linked to master arm

2) ALT BARO/RDR switch is mapped to Right Inner button

3) ATT INS/auto/STBY mapped to right outer button

 

Thanks for the bug report. I take it for granted. Please keep in mind that the F / A-18 does not even have beta status. It will take a while until everything works.

totally understand - just figured I would let you know.

 

Also, in regards to ALT BARO/RDR it received the data correctly. So If i switch it in the cockpit Ikarus updates. If I switch it in Ikarus it toggle the Master Arm switch.

 

Also, update! UFC is complete for now. you'll see other gauges working, too. I still have a bunch of LAMPS to work through, though. Fuel, etc. Enjoy!

Both sizes are o.k. So when switching only the different PNG files are made visible or invisible. Nothing more.

 

Which graphic tool do you use?

Do you use the same DPI per png?

 

I'm going to mess with this later, they're all sized the same, but maybe I did something odd. I use Affinity Photo.

I found the problem. The DeviceID for DcsID 140 -148 should be 34. This is defined in the file "FA-18C_hornet.xml". I have corrected this. Upload follows afterwards.

F18 Monitor Config file and some issues

 

Attached is a monitor config file for TWO 1920x1080 monitors side by side (although physically they are stacked). This might help someone get started.

 

 

 

I have several issues, some of which are the fact that the profile is still in process.

 

 

1. I intend to move the 6 panel switches on the lower left to the middle right side so that I can flip them with my left hand.

 

 

 

2. I cannot seem to flip the left vertical panel switch. This seems to be working now.

 

 

3. I assume the missing controls below the center MFD will eventually be implemented.

 

 

 

4. The rings on the RWR do not show up. I don't know if this is a graphics issue with DCS or Ikanus.

I installed the latest XML and IKARUS executable. However I’m still have the same issues with flicking the wrong switches. Do I need to update my custom profile in IKARUS to reflect those changes if I’m not downloading the F18 profile?

If you use your own xml file, then you have to change it yourself. The effort is low and fast.

 

Do you have the right version?

 

I use notepad++ for something like that.

Ahh now I understand. For example, the RWR screen content can not be mapped via a network. That's so. Somebody would have to develop software.

Of course, this is possible if a panel is mounted over both monitors. Usually you do not do it that way. First monitor for DSC. Second monitor for Ikarus. Just move the panels to the second monitor. How to do that is in the wiki. This is very fast and it is easy to set.
