0414 Wee Neal Posted October 16, 2019 Share Posted October 16, 2019 Hi I am just starting to learn the Harrier and running through start-up, taxi and takeoff. When I start to taxi I am unable to engage the NWS. I have checked the bindings and it is set to my HOTAS and functions in the control panel. I have CAST showing on the HUD and no matter how many ways I have tried NWS it does not seem to work. Any advice please? Ramsay Posted October 16, 2019 Share Posted October 16, 2019 (edited) Any advice please? With the Anti-skid switch ON, you need to press and hold the NWS button to steer. With the Anti-skid switch Down (i.e. set for NWS), there is no need to press and hold the NWS button to steer but doing so will give hi-gain steering for a tighter turning circle.
