jocko417
That is looking great there Jocko, nice work mate ! Thanks Strut! Two more, first, as shown above, Spitfire SM309, coded AU-H of No. 421 "Red Indian" Squadron, RCAF, early 1945. 2TAF markings include over painted Sky fuselage ID band (partially obliterating the aircraft serial number), Night spinner, and Type III nationality markings in all six positions. Upper markings hastily converted from existing red and blue roundel. SM309 was a Mk.XVIe, with 2 x .50 cal MGs and 2 x 20mm cannons. I have tried to simulate this by painting over the gun tape patches for the .303s to match the existing camo scheme. It begs the question of how hard it would be for DCS to use the Mk.IXc as a starting point to give us a Mk.IXe, with the pointed rudder please! The more Spit variants, the better! :D Flown by Richard "Hap" Beall. 421 nose art decals were supplied by the McColl-Frontenac Oil Company, later acquired by Texaco. Beall added the "Panama Bound" slogan as notice of future intentions at war's end... Download here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301686/ Mk.IXc MJ832, coded DN-T of No. 416 "Lynx" Squadron, RCAF, based at RAF Station Tangmere, Sussex, UK, circa 1944. Standard Day Fighter scheme, "City of Oshawa" under left side of wind screen honouring the squadron's sponsor. Pouncing lynx nose art. Download here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301688/ Also, by request, will be making some more generic paint schemes for squad use with custom BORT numbers, including a late war 2TAF scheme, for both full span and clipped wing Spits. Art-J
Jocko, the NM file in your 807 Sqn Seafire skin is a bitmap instead of .dds. Is that how it's supposed to be? i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
jocko417
Jocko, the NM file in your 807 Sqn Seafire skin is a bitmap instead of .dds. Is that how it's supposed to be? Hmm, not sure how that happened, I'll look at it when I get home this weekend. In the meantime you can substitute any NM from my other Mk.IX (non-recce) skins. Thanks for the heads up :)

jocko417
Thanks mate :). Just a little tweak here and there. Once I can get a few days off strung together I’ll be playing catch-up with getting my F-86 skins up to date and hopefully also finish off the AI Starfighter template I’ve been working on. :joystick:
