Next Q&A?

So seeing as the previous Q&A with Nick was so well received, lets do another.

What would you like to do for the next Q&A, is there an individual or a subject you would like to see a series of questions on?

You can find the previous Q&A here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=207133

Let me know what you want to talk to ED about, or who at ED you want to talk to!

Once I get some good ideas from you, I will take them back to the team and set up the next questions gathering thread.

Thanks!

NineLine/Norm

Quoting myself:

I got a question... when is a Lancaster com...

Just kidding. Let me try that again.

Q: How reliable are engine starts for old warbirds still flying after more than 70 years? We often see a number of attempted starts at airshows and it seems that getting a reliable start can be sometimes problematic for old machinery. Could Mr. Grey share some of his experiences regarding the reliability and maintenance side of these birds? These aspects can sometimes be neglected in the world of simulators... so I'd be quite interested to see what he has to say about that.

I have three separate questions, feel free to answer any.

•Are you happy with how realistic the startups of the Mustang and Spitfire in DCS are? The startup always seems straightforward, instead of having the little hiccups I see the real life counterparts have, including oil smoke, which is missing in DCS.

•Will we ever see a Griffon-variant Spitfire in DCS, such as the Spitfire Mk XIV?

•With Mag3 working on a Corsair, will we ever see a Pacific Theater map to accommodate it?

Edit: Sorry Nine, just refreshed the page and see your comment above.

Mission Planning

Any news on flight planning tools? The current SP tools are very limited and not available in MP.

Putting in Lat/Long waypoint data in cockpit is not only very time consuming but also unrealistic. Fuel planning will be very important around the carrier and can't be done with ingame tools.

I second this, maybe rephrase to specifically include data cartridge sharing/reusing? Lot's of different modules support customization, but not everything works from the cockpit. I'd love to have the abillity to share flightplans with multiple pilots in MP.

My own question: Any plans for F10 map interface improvements for the GCI/ATC role?

When did development first start on the F/A-18 and for how long? What would you say was the biggest hurdle that you had to overcome as a team during the development period?
