I can't imagine a WWII sneak attack in a modern scenario that hasn't been detected by something other than a RWR. Yep, but seriously, it doesn't hurt to have more SA, don't ya think? And, turning it on before you taxi, is one less thing you have to worry about later, like turning on Engine Anti-Ice heaters....
