Hello Winwing

I am really excited and looking forward to your F/A-18 Hotas system. But I have some questions:

Preorder starts tomorrow (July 5th) and ends before the launch event (between Aug 15-30). Does that mean the pre order window ends before we get the firsts reviews and videos from the testers?

What about the shipping fees to Switzerland? Switzerland is not part of the EU. Normally we will have to pay less fees.

Your Hornet Hotas comes with a prestart panel. When comes the takeoff panel? Are there any other panels (UFC, DDIs, Master Arm Switch, HUD switches etc) planned?

Hello,

1.The review products will deliver in early august, so the review time is not decide by us, but I think everyone got our products want release first.

2. Tomorrow you can check the freight by UPS system in our website.

3.We have big dream, and we have good tech and attitude, but all decide by how many we can sell in this marketing.

Thanks for your support.

Are there any shipping options other than UPS? Given their track record of additional costs and fees, its impossible to know how much the actual cost will be and could be in the hundreds of dollars.

1. they r try to shipout HOTAS for review in early Aug. So the review might around or before Aug 15th. And the launch event just random pickup in 15-30, not sure which day yet. It can be any day in that range.

2. shipping fees you can check out on pre-order page with UPS API at July 5th.

3. UFC , Master Arm , DDI and HUD switch are already in road map. it will be more like cockpit set.

Thanks for your support.

I support that attitude and a commitment to our niche market.

So you might be adding me as a customer later, for I require some more input before parting with such an amount of money for a hobby:

- initial reviews, tests & experiences

- a functioning and stocked EU/world shop for repair/support, tax & short distance shipping fees

Hmmm, it looks like the shop is still without a valid security certificate?

Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for shop.winwing.cn. The certificate is only valid for the following names: winwing.cn, http://www.winwing.cn Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

I would recommend getting someone who can speak english to have a quick run-through of your webpage https://www.winwing.cn/en/JOYSTICK - some pretty huge spelling mistakes...doesn't really scream professionalism.

Throttle base looks interesting. Heaps of sticks/grips on the market - but next to no decent throttles on their own.

They updated the certificate already. The reason why it will show up problem is that they are remove everything to new server. It’s for pre-order event. Sorry it make trouble to you.

6 hours to pre-order. Who else is getting excited? :)

Any chance you are going to release a list of who the review units are going out to?

I am very interested, but could not even consider committing that sort of money without knowing it had been well reviewed.

Does http://www.winwing.cn pass on to shop.winwing.cn? If so that is even worse than no security certificate as handover from a secure domain an unsecure domain can also pass on cookies and things that usually are restricted to SSL level encryption / trust.

So yeah: I am very keen on getting this HOTAS, but if the secure website passes us to an insecure domain then this is a deal breaker. We need clarity on this.

Good to see heaps more info on the shop link, however ...

Finger lift for IDLE and Afterburner detents.

Hopefully the finger lifts are only required for the Idle detent, the afterburner should be a push through.

They have a video on their Youtube page that shows that it is push through

I asked this problem with their CM. His answer is throttle can work with the lock and without the lock both way. It's just a manual lock design. They will explain this special design in throttle video.
