I now have an i7-2600k running on an Asus Sabertooth P67 mainboard clocked to 4.4ghz. Now all I need are a couple of SSD's and I'm set...that'll have to wat till the wallet recuperates I'm afraid. :huh: This should run DCS A10 quite smoothly I hope. This was amazingly easy to do...bit of a change from the old days! Anyway, back to re-installing everything. Since I expect a 2 year lifespan for my machine (it will take serious willpower not to get an Ivy Bridge when they come, but hey :P ) I guess that could make a good MLU come January or February. :) A possible help for your HDD maintenance would be the (payware) program Ultimate Defrag. No. I reused the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme cooler I had fitted to my Core 2 quad....it's a multifit (755/1155) mount.
