Nathan Fuentes
Hi everyone, I am thinking about making a cheap plug and play electric panel for the A-10, but first I want to see how many people would be interested in buying one. I am hoping to keep the price around $150 but that is just an initial estimate and it may vary up or down. As far as I know $150 would be the cheapest price out there for a panel like this. So comment if you would think about buying one and if there is enough interest then I will start making and selling them. Also if you are interested in a different panel let me know and I might do that instead. photo from Jager1726's video Edited October 15, 2016 by Nathan Fuentes
cichlidfan
Considering that those switches are only used during startup/shutdown. I doubt you would have much demand for it. Browse the Home Cockpit section to get an idea what people are doing and looking for. Welcome to the forum, btw. TigersharkBAS
Welcome Nathan....yeah...you might have more luck with an AHCP arming panel, which gets used regularly during a mission. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=175208 My top panels (in priority order) that would justify an individual plug and play without making a whole pit: - UFC (small added complexity due to Master Caution light) - AHCP (same complexity as an electrical panel) - Radio Panels (added complexity due to rotary switches and frequency display) - CDU (very complex) - Panel under the CDU (the one where you select Mission/Steerpoint/Flight Plan) with 2 rotary switches and the steer point [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Creator of: F-18C VFA-195 "Dambusters" 1998 CAG Livery https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=213788 F-18C VFA-195 "Dambusters" July 2001 CAG Livery https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215950 Pilot avatars for DCS Logbook https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=221160 How to make a DCS A-10C Panel http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65998

Hansolo
Welcome to the forum Nathan. Yes the Home Cockpit section as cichlidfan says would probably the best place to get an idea of what is wanted the most. I believe the panels I use the most are AAP, UFC, CDU and radios where as TigersharkBAS mentioned the latter ones are the most advanced ones. Will the panels be the ones from PCflights.com or will they be of your own design? IIRCC then the two other players in the same field are fine tuning their prototyping so be prepared for some competition down the line. In any case all the best of luck on your endevour. BSS_Sniper
That seems like a lot of money for 7 switches that don't really do anything after engine start.
