slipstream21
Not good. I just did a DCS test and it’s a tragedy. It is much worse than on the versions .111 and .112 - it made an absolute ghosting - the simulator became unplayable: / Time frame generation is ok - but SM is a tragedy at the moment
13WELT_JankeS
The operation of smart smoothing in this version is a disaster. They made a terrible ghosting. Frame generation times of 12-13 ms for GPU and CPU (i8700k 4.8GHz and 2080Ti), but unfortunately there is a double vision. I hope that after the optimizing update for VR we will be able to reduce the refresh rate and enjoy a smooth game without smart smoothing. At the moment in DCS it works very badly. i7-8700K, Z370, 32GB DDR4-3000MHz, RTX 2080 Ti, FSSB R3L, TM Warthog HOTAS, CH Pro pedals, 2x MFD's, Windows 10 Pro, HP Reverb DCS: F-16C, F/A-18C, F-14B, F-15C, AV-8B, M2000C, F-5E, A-10C, AJS-37, Su-27, Su-33, MiG-21bis, MiG-29, Spitfire LF Mk. Boris
Does smart smoothing even work at all in this latest beta? I don't get the characteristic distortion of the Spitfire gunsight, so this would indicate it's off. 13WELT_JankeS
Of course I wrote about it on the Pimax forum. Boris
While smart smoothing doesn't work as well as it did on the previous versions, somehow I get the impression that overall performance is improved. I agree. I did a quick test just now and overall, it seems smoother. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
twells555
Using ver .121 with the latest open beta and the Vr shader mod by Kegotis with no problems so far. Like others have already said, seems smoother than the previous pitool rev.
