RDR DDI Question

DDSSTT

Recommended Posts

The DDIs are capable of YRGB colors. The yellow color for the cursor and BE related information if AA Waypoint is selected, are there for contrast to better read the information presented to the pilot.

This is true to life and you will see more changes as SA page is coded and a few other features we don't have just yet.

Why is the TDC Slew Selector on the Radar DDI page Yellow now? Is that correct?

Yes, it's the colour on the real display.

I thought DDIs could only display green and were not RGB capable?

It depends on the display type.

On aircraft 163985 AND UP the DDIs are NVG compatible and display three colors (red, yellow, and green) for stroke information. A monochrome version of the digital map can be selected on any of the DDIs.

Not sure if this is what it’s referring to, but you can pull up the map on any DDI by pressing HSI on the Support page, the only caveat being that it won’t show the color map in the background, just a black background.

This did NOT work for me, on either Left or Right DDIs.
