Tubes
Hi guys. So, I’ve had DCS installed for about a week, and I am in love with it. However, I seem to be having issues with constant crashing & freezing. I’m flying the SU25 only, and haven’t added any mods. Most often either a) when I’ve flown miles to a target area, then when there more vehicles around it freezes/crashes, or b) when following launched weapons in F6 view. Another issue is that with WATER set to anything other than LOW, I get total screen whiteout from the glare. My rig is newly built, and the builders (wired2fire) assure it should be more than capable of running DCS. nVidia GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card 32GB Corsair DDR4 2666MHz C16 Quad Channel Memory Kit (2x16GB) Asus Prime B360M-K Motherboard 500gb SSD Acer Nitro VG270 27 Inch Thin Bezel Monitor Intel Core i7 9700K 8 Core Socket 1151 Noctua NH-U14S CPU Cooler X56 Rhino HOTAS I have tried the following: Uninstall/reinstall Making an exception for AVG anti virus Running as administrator Tweaking graphics settings Reinstalling GPU driver Reinstalling HOTAS driver Nothing seems to make any difference. Would greatly appreciate any tips or ideas before I send it back to be checked out, as right now I feel as though I’ve bought a £1600 paper weight :( Good news is that I seem to be pretty decent at ground-pounding with the Frog, now I just need it to work! Thanks in advance everybody.

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 15, 2020 ED Team Share Posted January 15, 2020 Hi Can you attach you dcs log it can be found in your saved games location it should give us some clues. Or attach the zip folder created after the crash in the same location. C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Logs See my signature for crash advice, also are you overcloking your GPU? BitMaster
use DDU from Guru3d.com to uninstall your current driver. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html to boot into save mode, hold SHIFT in the log-in screen and then click the Power Icon on the lower right hand corner and choose reboot, then use DDU. I'm just updating Windows, and will then follow the advice in the signature. Tubes
Oh my, is it really that simple? I was looking at this: https://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/force-app-to-use-dedicated-gpu-windows/ From memory I don’t know if the back of the PC actually has 2x VGA slots (it definitely doesn’t have any HDMI slots). Hopefully it does and this will all be sorted for tonight. Thanks guys, you’re amazing.
