Default Visual traffic pattern


Does anyone have som information concerning the common traffic patern used for warbirds? The P-51 manuals does not provide information on this profile.

I have only landing pattern used at Iwo, 7th AF fighters units.
I guess, every units and airports had their own special or modified.

Are you asking about historical anecdotal operations or what constitutes a normal traffic pattern today?

(Interesting diagram from Iwo. 30 to 50 feet on the “overhead?” Yikes!)

I would imagine war time operations of ww2, not todays overly regulated methods....
