Autorudder won't turn of

P3CFE

Recommended Posts

During TakeOff with TO assistance and Autorudder turned off.

The rudderpedals are moving to the right when adding power ..and release right rudder when reducing power automatically.

If i give an input myself en release.. the pedals stabelize by giving inputs left and right.

So it seems that autorudder or a kind of stabelizing is active and cant be turned off.

Hope it wil be fixed, i want to fly this Mustang solo.

thanks allready

As propwash builds up over the tail surfaces, the rudder trim tab ( assuming you've set it for takeoff ) will "start doing it's work" and deflecting the rudder to the right, right rudder pedal ahead left rudder pedal back...

This is probably what you're watching. If you set aileron trim, and a headwind of 10m/s or more you will also be able to notice a stick deflection due to the wind over the aileron trim tabs.

Thanks, thats it..

Well ...this is the first time i noticed this movement.

I bit strange to see the legs of the pilot move while i dont give any rudder input.

But i agree that it is the only way to simulate the forces on the rudder without Force Feedback.

Sorry for reporting this as a Bug …its a clearly a feature...Well done Dev's. !

Oke "JCOM".

You had me convinced..but now i see that the behaviour of the rudder is deffinatly not correct !

During TO when i give a steady rudder input..the rudder starts oscilating.

this makes the tail wobble from left to right several times.

It is almost impossible to steady the rudder out because if i give an input the rudder seems to counteract..

i'am fighting the artifical input and that can not be good.

Something is definately wrong here.

Can you try a takeOFF and look at the rudder behaviour (when you give a steady input) please.

You must agree..that is not OK !!

Hope it can be fixed..

Hmmmm, I do not presently have DCS installed, and even less the 51d, but from what I remember that's weird.

You sure you really do not have another axis assigned on some of your controllers to the rudder ?

That wobbling doesn't make sense, and I never saw it unless either takeoff assist is enabled and / or auto-rudder ....

Thanks guys for thinking with me.

Checked for double bindings ..not the case.

But i discovered the problem :D

I was experiencing the rudder problem during traing flight...."Take Off Solo".

I just made a TakeOff in a mission i made.. and..:joystick:

Like a Charm...no rudder interference what so ever,...every mistake was my own..:D

So the bad behaviour of the rudder is linked with training flights..

Still something that should be fixed i think ..but with lower priority..

Thanks again.
