4 Monitor Helios

Recommended Posts

Im sure this has been asked multiple times. Yes I have looked/searched, but im only pulling up old stuff and i'm not very good with LUA's

I'm brand new to Helios (and Loving it) but I'm having issues with aligning the exports on the F18 (Capt Zeen Beta). I've only tried editing the left DDI location just to test it and if it had moved down I'd do the rest but im not sure where I'm screwing up.

I'm used the running the "3 Monitor" stock profile, but I grabbed the bottom touch screen for Helios and I'm not sure where I'm messing this up. All monitors are running 1920/1080. Please let me know what I need to do to finish this set up. Thanks!

probably you need to use 5760x2160

but better if you arrange the monitors to be the 4 in horizontal line in Windows. In that way you screen total can be 7680x1080 instead of 5760x2160.

7680x1080= 8294400 pixels

5760x2160=12441600 pixels

anyway other people with 4 monitor configuration can help better. I am still using only two

I took Capt Zeen's advice and put them all on the horizontal in windows. all are 1920/1080. running 7680/1080 in DCS.

I reworked the monitor setup LUA and moved the exports to the correct location, but if I turn on the helios profile it blocks the exports. I'm sure I'm messing up something with the lua, but I'm not sure what.

The 4th monitor is the touchscreen for Helios

Got it figured out. For some reason when i first installed everything the profile had all open areas for the exports filled. reinstalled the profiles, could see the desktop through the helios profile and went to work changing locations of the exports. Thanks for all the help

Thanks! Not sure what the artifacts are in the screen shots, but being brand new to Helios and exporting displays hopefully some other lost soul can benefit from all my mistakes. Capt Zeen thank you for all your work on this profile, it’s awesome! Now I just need to find a good AV8 equivalent.

Hallo Sarge,

My setup the same as yours.4 monitord T shape.

After last ıpdate my UFC and RWR and IFEI lost an i cant get it back.

Meanwhile DDIs and AMPC stil stays.

Have you solved that problem?

thank you

hi, sorry im not sarge but i do have a 4 monitor "T" shape. It's quite the struggle getting it figured out. I have two 27" 1440's on 1 & 2 , my 3rd monitor is 23" 1920x1080 (far right). The bottom monitor (bottom-middle) is a 15.6" touchscreen. I am working on replacing #3 with another 1440p but I don't have it yet. So i have to do with what I have for now during CV19. But my main question is, how should i situate the monitors in windows 10? and then should i do 2560+2560+1920+1920 for the width? Or should i make the bottom monitor something like 1024x768 so i use less pixels and it can suffice with less screen to put instruments but they might appear larger which is good? So if i take the first example, i would have 8960x 1440 in windows with 4 across horizontally. Then we trick Helios or DCS into thinking they are across when really the 4th monitor is below forming the "T". Or are those numbers wrong? I know it's a mess so if you or anyone has ideas what to do with this quandary, let me know. SO i guess DCS doesn't know the difference as to where the monitors are physically located, so that is the trick i suppose. just letting it wrap around to the 4th when really it's not wrapping, its just doing what windows thinks its doing, correct? but then when you go back to working on your computer in a non game environment, you have to switch it back. But in any event...some suggestions would be just great, I'm worn out. Thanks for everyone's input into this thread...it's wonderful to know that someone has figured all this out.
