Historical test reports or modern testing?

I was just wondering whether VEAO will be taking the opportunity to use modern testing equipment to log the real world performance of the real world aircraft their dcs models are based on. It would certainly help prevent some of the arguments over historical test results impartiality and accuracy!

In all honestly its abit of both

We have a couple of very very smart guys working with some very long mathmatical equations working on aerodynamic co-efficients to get the flight modelling close, tied in with no less then 9 warbird pilots who have said they are happy to give feedback on our aircraft.

I do not believe that using any one source of data will enable us to accurately represent the aircraft within DCS.

To do this as best as we can do we need to make use of all the available data sources that we have access to, old and new, real life and data sheet
