Hello,

im just wondering if there is a way to start Dcs directly in VR or Non-Vr to avoid the long loading times when toggling between modes. Is there a launch-parameter ?

Greetings,

Skatezilla's DCS World GUI Updater is the best way to do it.

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053&highlight=GUI

You can access all sorts of useful facilities using it, such as running repairs, cleaning your install, updates - and above all, there is a button for running DCS World in VR and out of VR..

Thanks to Skate for all his hard work too.

I second that, love his utility for starting in non-VR when needed.

Yes, you can create separate Windows shortcuts for DCS with VR and without it, using these parameters:

dcs.exe --force_enable_VR

dcs.exe --force_disable_VR

Best regards

Thanks - been wondering about this myself.

Also wondering if there's any means of triggering different graphics profiles for VR and non-VR via command line ?

I tried to makes Skatezilla's do that but didn't seem to be able to.

Hoping someone comes along here and explains it!

Where in the shortcut properties do you plug these parameters in?

:) it's an extra layer, extra software to install .. what could be simpler than just clicking on a windows shortcut?

Well, it takes a matter of seconds to install. It’s only a few hundred kilobytes. It has lots of useful aspects including multiple settings. I have settings for VR and non-VR for both OB and Stable. Any of these are launched with one click.

Lots of other really useful features - including repair or update all with one click - relating to DCS in one very nice UI.

Essential tool, in my opinion!

Simple, cuz i don't need any more mods to do this, i got 2 shortcut, one for VR and one for Non-VR only when i test liveries, edit missions and such. It does well the job for the few times i need it, no need to go in a mod select stuff, a simple click on my desktop when i need it to even though i am sure the mods fits a lot otehr people and it's great, just too much for the few things i need :)
