Second mission campaign : moving camera bug

Hi, there is a bug in the second mission : at the beginning, there is a camera travelling which goes "under" the map, giving a strange visual.

I think there is the same bug at the beginning of the first mission, but not sure.

Hi, Can you upload a screenshot to describe the situation?

It is the same for me, first, second and third mission the camera dips below ground.

To be honest it is one of the worst campaigns so far. On the third mission I hit both targets perfectly, then was told to shoot a drone (restrictions lifted). As soon as I jettisoned my stores the mission failed (unauthorized weapon release). Pretty annoying so far.

That's what it's designed for: shoot targets assigned for you, and DO NOT fire at will.

It brings you the basic combat discipline needed for all RL pilots: know what your main mission is.

1) This was during target engagement. I ejected the fuel tanks without any issue, the bomb on target area is not ok? Is that enough reason to fail and make me restart the mission? And that is by far the smallest issue.

If that is your thinking, then I stand by my RL pilot customer opinion that this is the worst excuse for a campaign I have ever tried.

I have yet to finish a mission smoothly, because of a stupid rule that essentially fails the mission or prevents progressing. Even without ejecting anything the mission would fail to switch waypoints (after reaching waypoint 2 it would tell me to go back to 1 or that I was drifting too much). I think too much focus was spent on trying to make it look cool, with endless intro scenes, a lot of curve balls thrown all around with very little planning and strategy involved and zero fun. I would recommend downloading and playing any Baltic Dragon campaigns to see how it should be done before releasing this thing, it is far from good.

i disagree, i enjoyed the campaign a lot. fairly original mission design, i liked the escort mission and the recon mission.

my only problem was the poor english. if half the sentences in briefings have grammatical errors, it becomes distracting. in at least one of the missions (the one with laser guided bombs), i failed because the description was poorly worded (something like, be in a waiting area between waypoints before certain time, though the time was for overflying the second waypoint of that pair).

still, this only needs couple bugreports to be fixed and then its alright. if you want to see an actual terrible campaign, try mig-21's campaign...

Lol, I have the mig-21 but never got around to learn it, much less try the campaign. Perhaps on a future pandemic.

I am trying to enjoy it, but it is not possible. Mission 4, failed several times as I wasnt sure what they wanted me to do: fly low and take the pictures avoiding detection or be detected? Also failed after holding for 20 min as I thought they wanted me to wait for the scheduled sam maintenance. Turns out it was the opposite.

Mission 5, failed because I took off exactly on time 0605 and passed wp2 0612 on time, but apparently I needed to be on wp3, poorly written or it was a bug.Second attempt failed because I waited for the “thunder” passcode... it never arrived. Instead I was supposed to progress from wp 4 to 5 on “flash, flash flash” or something, or just guess. Third attempt, I dropped the gbu exactly on time, success! Then failed because I spent a bit too long (2 min) programming and heading to the next target. Very frustrating, because it didn’t let me continue, it closed to debrief. I stopped since it is also impossible to edit them and remove stupid game breaking rules without understanding chinese.

Again, all failures end the mission abruptly. This is like arcade mode, very annoying. Whoever designed it this way needs to pass the ball to someone else, because the frustration is too high and the challenge comes from interpreting what they want you to do. Deka should really consider hiring someone else to touch up and review this, it is beyond poor.
